Lindsay Signs with Washington Mystics

April 17, 2008      Lindsay has signed a contract with the Washington Mystics of the WNBA. It is contingent on her making the team, but this is a team that needs post players, so that bodes well for Lindsay's chances.

She also finish the Polish Women's Basketball League on a high note:

I'll be back again in April to sunny Chandler, Arizona.

It's still freezing in Poland.

Lindsay Suffers a Fractured Nose in First Minute, Then Completes Game

Słowa szkoleniowca poskutkowały. Najpierw kosz mistrzyń przedziurawiła Lindsay Taylor, chwilę później akcją 2+1 błysnęła Latoya Bond i niespełna minutę po wziętym czasie torunianki wyszły na prowadzenie. Jak się później okazało ostatnie w meczu.

Wisła miała w końcówce dwie bohaterki; Annę DeForge i Agnieszkę Pałkę.

- Same przegrałyśmy ten mecz przez złe decyzję w końcówce - uczciwie przyznała Taylor. W podobnym tonie wypowiadał się trener Błajet, który zdawał sobie sprawę, że koło nosa przeszła mu okazja na ponowne ogranie mistrzyń Polski

Translation:

Latoya Bond and Lindsay Taylor were doing their best to take the lead of the game. They achieved that but until two main players of opposite team stepped up and at 80 sec before end of the game scored 73:68.

“We allowed them to win that game – we made bad decisions at the end of the game” – honestly admitted Taylor. Couch Blajet had the same opinion as his team and he knew that the opportunity of beating the strongest team in Poland has just slipped away.

Lindsay Making a Name     February 21, 2008     Energa Torun has a very strong chance of making the Polish Women's playoffs.  Ok, so maybe it would be as the eighth seed and they would have to face the top team in the first round, but it would be the playoffs nonetheless.  And it is important for Lindsay to continue to have very strong performances, because as the season goes on her stats are becoming more and more impressive.  Example, Lindsay is now the top player in the Polish Women's League in Evaluation Points.  She stands at 19.1 points, a whole half point ahead of the second player.  Evaluation points is a calculation made using all the game stats and coming up with a composite score.  To Americans, evaluation points don't mean much, but in International play it is what they use to designate who are the best players.  So there you go, Lindsay is showing her stuff and making a great impression.  Hopefully this will lead to greater things in the future.

Lindsay a Beast on the Boards    January 21, 2008        So what can be expected when you have two weeks without a game as Energa Torun did over the last weeks.  You can hang out in your little cottage on a dirt road outside of Town, on gray cloudy days with near freezing temperatures as Lindsay did.  There was practice everyday, sometimes two practices, but little else to do.  So what can be expected after that?  How about a monster game on the boards by Lindsay producing 20 rebounds.   Add to that beating the Number 2 team in Poland, in their own gym, 73 to 68.  So much for rust setting in.  Big game with a big outcome.  With the 20 rebounds Lindsay is now in the leagues Top Five in rebounds, averaging 8.5 rebounds per game.  Also, Lindsay had a great evaluation for the game at 28 points, that placed her back as #2 in the league in the game evaluation category.

Second Half of Season Starts Off with Loss

Basketball is going well in winter wonderland.

Lindsay Taylor        Pics February 15, 2008 added three pictures             I am in my second half of the season in Poland and it is going well the same as the first half in a way. I am playing good, but I definitely need to be doing better.  Amy Denson is on my team this year in Poland. She came to the team after Christmas break. She is a 6' 2” post, she graduated in 06'. Well, anyway, she is way nice and we get along great, I am so happy she is here playing with me.  We have been losing and only by 5 or less points. The team hasn't won only but one (two) game(s), but we are playing better and the games are close. I am planning on going to a WNBA camp at the end of April. I am not sure what team yet, that won't be decided for another 2 months. I am super excited to finish and leave, and I am marking off the days. But I am trying to focus on these last 10 games or so, that way, I’ll feel satisfied when it is time to go home. I am a heat and sun loving girl, and get goose bumps of the thought of even cold anything. Yet I chose to play in Poland during the winter months. Really I am just branching out momentarily leaving my comfort zone. But after experiencing a "real" winter, I will always live in AZ or Southern California.
